Yep, I did it again. I got another pair of glasses. It's a sickness really. But I stand by my statement from my last pair of glasses: Eyeglasses are like shoes ... for your face.
This pair came courtesy of GlassesUSA.com. It's actually my second pair from their site and it was great to see how the site has changed since my last experience.
Their site has a huge, ever-changing selection of prescription glasses and sunglasses. And they really are one of the cheapest places to buy glasses that I've found so far. If you're like me and intend to buy glasses like shoes, then this is a really good thing! You can even check out their Facebook page and Twitter feed for exclusive discounts.
When it comes to buying glasses online, I have to have a way to see the glasses on my face before purchasing (although their 100% guarantee makes the process a little less intimidating). GlassesUSA has a great Virtual Mirror just for that. I especially like that you can compare several pairs without having to sift through all the selections to re-try a favorite. I'm so indecisive, so this is key!
I finally settled on the iSee 009's in brown, because they seemed different from all the frames I already have. Initially, they were a little smaller than I anticipated and the color was quite as white/milky as it appears online, but now that I've been wearing them for the last couple of weeks, I've fallen in love with them. One thing that stands above all else is that they are comfortable. They are lightweight, don't pinch behind my ears and stay put on my face (even on those hot summer days).
In the market for a new pair of specs? Check out their virtual mirror and get started right now!
GlassesUSA.com provided the prescription glasses for this review. All opinions are my own.
