During my last jaunt to the Goodwill, I came across these gorgeous pins. They are 24K gold-dipped Maile leaves from Hawaii. Aren't they beautiful? Even better - I only paid $1.50 for all three of them.
I have quite a few ideas on how to wear them so far. The obvious being as pins on a jacket lapel or cardigan, but I've also thought of pinning (or simply threading them) onto a strip of leather for a funky cuff bracelet or necklace. Then, while watching SATC the other night, I noticed the fabulous Carrie wearing a knit beret with a small brooch on it. Wouldn't these be awesome pinned in a bunch on a pretty knit beret?
I'd love to hear how you'd style them up. Any ideas?
These are absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteIn sept marie claire ashley olsen adds her pin to close an amazing gown. It's looks just like it's the closure- you'd never know it wasn't part or the dress

I love that picture in Marie Claire of Ashley Olsen! Especially the pins. These are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteAwesome pins, i would love to pin them up on a bunch of pearl necklaces
ReplyDeleteAll black outfit with all three pins pinned on the right side kind of on a slant, one on top of the other. Or on some shoes?
ReplyDeleteWhat a great find !!!
ReplyDeleteMmmmm I´m thinking on a thick black suede headband..... it should match your hair perfectly.
I'm with Linda. I mean wear them every way mentioned, but for a real stunner, all black!~
ReplyDeleteI really like the idea of a black or navy barett. How creative! Maybe they would add some interest pinned to a stretch belt, too.
ReplyDeleteI would maybe wear them near the ahoulder in a cluster to pin a sweater in a new interesting way. Or on a hat would be cute too.
ReplyDeleteThose are so beautiful! And I like your hat idea :) Cant' wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteI think I may have had the same thought process as you re: beret + vintage pin, alothough I don't have either, I liked the idea of it =P
ReplyDeletePS: I love that skirt. It looks so easy and comfy. Your blog has convinced me that I can totally pull off a maxi skirt/dress this (southern hemisphere) summer, so thank you!
