AWESOME EIGHTIES JACKET

That's EXACTLY what my husband said when I was getting dressed this morning. No emotional attachment or anything - just, "awesome eighties jacket." Um, thanks...

I love this jacket in theory, but then I question it every time I wear it. It's the puff-sleeve thing. Then, when I got to work today, I decided that I was insane and it's awesome. Take that, puff-sleeves!

I had no intention of wearing a belt, but threw it on at the last minute and I think it made a WORLD of difference. Added just enough interest to bump things up a notch.

I also did my hair today. I really do love wearing it down, it just gets so hot when I'm drying it and ironing it. Once it cools off a bit, I'm sure I'll wear it down more often.

Outfit deets: Dress (Sears, $9), Jacket (B-Moss, $25), Belt (vintage, mom's closet), Sandals (Ross, $9)

On a completely unrelated note ... our new neighbors fancy techno music. Really loud techno music. The constant thump is driving me bananas. Will have to sic the Meatball on them.

  3. I agree..you are insane, it is super awesome! i love that it's yellow! such bright and alive color, and the puff sleeves are the cutest detail on it, really, that is what makes me like it even more, it adds enough touch of girly-ness to it without being over the top girly, just right.

    You look awesome!
    The sandals, -to die for-

  4. Awesome jacket, why haven't you been wearing it. I saw something similar at Forever the other day, but I like your style way more. And I love the way you paired it with a simple black dress.and the hair, I can imagine how good it feels to see it the way the hair stylist meant them to be. ANd talk about crazy neighbors, mine are a bunch of loud mouths and when i say loud, I mean i dont have the liberty to open my windows for the fear of hearing them screaming at each other. and the best part they are not even in my building, its the next building which is a good 100-200 feet away.

  7. love love love that jacket. It is way to cold here now to wear sandals and a dress...fall is coming...
I agree with the hair thing, in the summer I NEVEr blow dry it, thats why its important I have a good cut.
Seriously if you don't want that jacket I'll take it off your hands.

In the case of the neighbours...I had a neighbour the other day BLASTING Josh Groban...and he was on the floor above and the whole building could hear it. I spent most of the day laughing.

  11. Love the jacket! I have a similar jacket from F21 that I feel the same way about. But the problem with mine is the sleeves which are identical to yours, only shorter, hit in a spot on my bicep that is fat so the jacket is tight, accentuating the puff shoulder. Boo... can I have yours?! :)

  12. Oh the puff sleeves are a must! They make it just a little bit more feminine. Belt is a must- def finishes everything off nicely.

Maybe you can insist on heading next door for the dance party every time they start their little rave up.
