Seriously...this gloomy weather is starting to bum me out...
...which I had to wear with my boots to keep my legs warm.
After weeks of slaving away, I decided to reap the benefits of being a workaholic and hit the mall. It was a total flop - didn't find a thing. So, I hit up the Ross across the street and found a cute little dress, this awesome denim skirt, and the coolest, most bad-ass sandal/bootie things EVER. All for $50!
Even better, "poufy denim skirt" was actually on my spring wish list. Check. AND it has pockets! We all know how I feel about pockets in skirts - BONUS!
Since I went for the boots out of necessity (and stubbornness), the rest of the outfit had to work pretty hard to not look like I was going square dancing. A little Jimi Hendrix oughtta do the trick! I think the tee (Charlotte Russe, $10) and scarf as a belt (vintage from my Nanny), instead of a leather belt, keep it feeling more eclectic rather than country.
I've also come to terms with the fact that my hair will just never be big. No matter how badly I want it. So, I'm letting it do what it does best - smooth and shiny. Could be worse, right? There is a slight possibility that I may have - just maybe - did a little snip, snip on it after my hair appointment ... but, I would never tell :)
I absolutely LOVE the skirt-- I have thing about skirts & pockets too (who doesn't, actually??) it's fantastic!
