Finally! I caught that sweet spot of golden afternoon sunshine. I've really been phoning in my pictures lately. Between my new schedule and incessant desire to be outside moving all summer long, my blog has taken a bit of a backseat to life. While I know that it is only a phase, I quickly find myself feeling angsty and twitchy without that daily creative release. Time for a coffee shop date with my computer and editorial calendar!
I'm a little smitten with this look. First of all, it was super easy. Dress, shoes, done. Even with so few pieces, the personal style still shines through with the combination of the leopard print and stripes. Love!
I received this dress 2 years ago and still manage to pull it out every year. When I first got it, midi's hadn't quite hit the style scene and everything was nipped and short. Cutesy, cutesy. These days, I'm much more into the sophisticated, more grown-up look of a longer hem and was cursing my former self for chopping the extra inches off of this dress. I wore it anyway (really, I had no choice - I had to get out the door), and John was a big fan. Now, seeing the pictures, I'm a fan of the shorter length once in a while. It's not a common silhouette for me, but I think the little leopard pumps added the perfect pop of a poise I was craving.
