just a little elastic

Thank you all so much for that hair love the other day!  I've been craving a change and once I decided on a bob, I became completely obsessed and fixated on having it done immediately.  Luckily, there was a cancellation, and I was able to get in the next day.  Can I just say that Hells Mels (my favorite derby girl also does my hair) did a bang-up (har har) job?!  The best part is that the blonde chunks were put in on my last visit for a really subtle highlight, and then when we started chopping into the bangs, the perfect placement was such a pleasant surprise!

I don't know about you, but when I get a new haircut, I tend to go all out on my outfits.  It just reinvigorates the creative flow, and I so needed that!

Until about midnight Monday night, this jumpsuit was an ordinary wide-leg, floor-grazing shape.  I must have a serious streak of OCD lately, because as soon as I saw the potential of a new drapey, balloon-leg shape, I immediately went to town adding a couple pieces of elastic in the existing hem.  It definitely cut into my sleep time a little bit, but was totally worth it.

Topped with a sassy new 'do and completed with some killer shoes, I felt like a million bucks!  Unfortunately, I had to take these photos in the super-harsh afternoon sun, but I was off for a bike ride and night of derby practice, so the cuteness was about to fade fast.  Some days, life just comes first.
