For Mother's Day, I treated my mom to a much-needed closet clean-out. Not only was super productive for her, but I benefitted quite a bit with first dibs to her cast-offs. One glance at this skirt, and I knew it was coming home with me. It's a reversible wrap skirt (with tons of "wrapping" options, apparently - which I have not yet figured out) in the lightest of all fabrics. I love taking something so ethnically inspired and pairing with a simple white button-down. Add a little glitz and a nearly-invisible pair of sandals and the look is complete!
I can't believe these pictures are a week old! It's been a crazy week and I finally feel as though I'm starting to come out the other side.
Here's a quick run-down on what I got this past week:
A giant bruise on my hip after careening into the cement floor at nearly full speed. I was the only person on the rink floor. Epic. Fail.
A speeding ticket. Awesome. Not.
A new computer. Yay!
A CD-rom for said computer after discovering that ultra-books don't have internal drives. Duh.
A infuriating head cold that stymied my best efforts at our derby bout Saturday night.
A new job!
Hey, all is well that ends well I suppose. I'll fill in the blanks soon. Until then, I need to play catch up after taking off yesterday afternoon to celebrate our 8th wedding anniversary!
JCPenney shirt, $16 (get the look)
