Charlotte Russe vest, $15 (get the look) - Sears dress (altered), $15 (get the look)
Chinese Laundry sandals, $12 (get the look) - random necklace, $6 (get the look)
Along with last week's shopping bug came a healthy dose of motivation to tackle my ever-growing sewing and mending pile. Amidst all my need-to-be-altered garments was this dress. As much I loved that neck ruffle, it was way too over-powering and made the dress nearly impossible to style with anything else. I don't think I wore it once last year, but loved the pattern so much that I couldn't bear to part with it. Two year and five minutes later, I have a whole new dress - that I wore not once, but twice last week! There was actually no sewing involved, just a few minutes and sharp pair of scissors to remove that pesky collar. Easiest. DIY. Ever.
