SNOWFLAKES AND RAINBOWS

12-9-09 snow

This is what it looked like outside when I went to bed at 11 o'clock last night.  It was the purest blanket of white snow that lit up the night.  I LOVE the smell, sound and feel of freshly fallen snow.  It's the icky dirty stuff that I can't stand.

So, we woke up this morning to several inches of crunchy, icy snow.  The roads were slick and all the local schools were canceled.  Then, at about 3 in the afternoon, it started raining and the sun started shining.  I looked outside and was surprised to see this:

rainbow 1

rainbow 3

rainbow 2

rainbow 4

That mother nature is one crazy broad!

  1. Oh my goodness, those rainbow pictures are amazing! Especially the one where you can see the full arc and close to the end. That is so rare to see!
